10th - SS. Mennas, Hermogenes and Eugraphus, Martyrs, were tortured and beheaded during the reign of Maximian and Diocletian, Emperors, A.D. 304, for spreading Christianity in Egypt.  


Monday, December 11th

11th - Our venerable father, Daniel, Stylite, imitating St. Simeon in the mode of austere life, he spent 30 years on his pillar, miraculously healing many sick people. He died A.D. 492 at the age of 80.

12th - Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our venerable father, Spiridon, wonderworker. Bishop of Tremyfia. In the persecution under Galerius, Emperor, Spiridon, with many other Christians, was condemned to lose an eye and to slave in the mines. He lived as late of A.D. 347.  


Wednesday, December 13th

13th - SS. Eustratius, Auxentius, Eugene, Mardarius and Orestes, Martyrs, suffered martyrdom A.D. 302 at Sebaste in Armenia, under the reign of Diocletian, Emperor. St. Lucy, Virgin-Martyr, endured shameful tortures and indignities. Finally a sword was thrust through her throat A.D. 304 at Syracuse under the reign of Diocletian, Emperor.

15th - St. Eleutherius, Priest-Martyr, endured death A.D. 120 in the reign of the Emperor Hadrian. Our venerable father, Paul of Latra, was a holy hermit in Greece, about A.D. 880 in the reign of Basil Macedo, Emperor. Father, Stephen, Confessor, Abbot of Sodrozh.

17th – St. Daniel, and the Three Youths. SS. Hannaniah, Azariah and Mishael. Daniel is the Fourth of the Four Great Prophets. He died a centenarian in Persia in the 5th century B.C. The Three Youths were cast into the fiery furnace by the order of King Nebuhadnezzar of Babylon but miraculously came out unscathed.

ST NICHOLAS CELEBRATION FUNDRAISER is this Sunday, December 10 after Liturgy. Breakfast is $15.00 and children over 5 years old just $3.00. Please don’t forget that we are collecting new socks for the St. Nicholas Ministry Socks for the Poor.        

PALESTINE CHRISTIANS – Please support our fund raiser for the Palestine Christians by purchasing a new Our Lady of Wisdom T-shirt. They are $40.00 each and in the book/gift store.


RETIRED RELIGIOUS SPECIAL COLLECTION will be taken December 9/10, 2023. Please give to those who have given a lifetime. Your donation will make a real difference by providing essential care, medicine and other necessities.

CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE - Non-perishable food and grocery items are now being collected to make up Christmas Dinner boxes. Please leave your donations under the St. Nicholas icon. If you know anyone who needs a food basket for Christmas, please give that information to Karen St. George.

MEMORIAL POINSETTIAS may be brought to the Parish for the Holy Place beginning Wednesday, December 20th. Please tape a card with your loved one’s name under the plant and place before the Icon Screen.
